As part of its OpenMyMed Prize competition the Maison Méditerranéenne des Métiers de la Mode (MMMM), in partnership with Who's Next, is offering a stand at the Première Classe international fashion accessory trade show in Paris to four fashion accessory Laureates of the 2017 edition: Noa-KisArtem AtelierIl était un fil and Romane Petrosino Joaillerie. An essential business experience to help cope with the market; meeting international buyers and getting orders!
We met up with them at the trade fair to find out more about their new creations for 2018 Spring-Summer and to let you discover their different universes. We continue this week at Première Classe with NOĀ-KIS, a costume jewellery label based in Marseilles. NOĀ-KIS had the chance to be part of the OpenMyMed Prize stand at the Panorama Berlin fashion trade fair in July 2017, so this is their second trade fair with the MMMM.

What is your most important piece from your 2018 Spring-Summer collection for summer 2018?
For me, a piece of jewellery is the most important accessory for the summer.  So I would choose a spiral ring with two settings, a colourful model which allows you to have 2 stones and 2 colours.

What do you expect to achieve at the Première Classe Paris fashion accessory trade fair? What are your objectives here?
The main objectives for my participation in this fashion accessory trade fair are to find new points of sale, develop my label on the international market, and above all, find agents for other European countries, because that is the market I have chosen to develop. Today I have 10 new retailer outlets, a new agent in Italy and an opening into the Middle East market. And I think that we can go even further.

What news do you have and what projects are you working on?
We are organising an evening event at the NOĀ-KIS boutique-workshop on 14 September and I would be delighted to see you there. We are also thinking about opening our first boutique in our name in the near future.

One of your pieces was selected for the 'trends forum' in the Gallery Store. What can you tell us about this piece?
In fact, the 'trends forum' selected 2 of my pieces, two 2 rings. The first being the MINSIK model, which can be worn individually or with another ring. It has a marquise shaped cut stone, in an elongated oval shape with pointed ends, set into the ring, which remains totally adjustable, refined and timeless.
The second model is a SIKA ring. The body of the ring is large and wide, curving round the finger. The marquise cut stone makes it a touch chic, and completely dresses up your hand. The ring suffices on its own.
