A Bohemian spirit and style and production using artisanal craftsmanship, is a good way of describing the universe of bags by ROZE, created by Sabrina Fantou and Adeline Santini. Supported directly by the MMMM, the label became a laureate of the 2015 M MAJOR competition. Inspired by the '70s in California, the two designers talk about their Itinéraire Mode experience.
How would you define your style?
All Roze bags have a strong and definite DNA. We take materials which have a particular use, and do something different with them, for example with old leather or upholstery fabric. The style is a mix and match between bohemian, vintage and very modern, with everything Made in France. We follow the seasons, like the Ready-to-Wear industry. It enables us to have a larger range of products, and we can adapt to new trends and what inspires us a particular time.
What has the 2015 M Major competition brought you?
Visibility, particularly with the press and on social networks. We got to meet some interesting people from the Fashion industry, like Irene Van Ryb. As we still have M Lab status, we continue to get support from the MMMM which helps us with our development.
What does the Itinéraire Mode event bring you?
We are at the Lulli boutique in Marseilles, which provides us with a perfect physical showcase, and we have decided to reinforce our on-line sales strategy.
The label is also present in the Grand Playground, Nine and Homenibus boutiques.
Grand Playground: Docks Village, 10 place de la Joliette – 13002 Marseilles
Homenibus: 36, Boulevard Notre Dame – 13006 Marseilles
Nine: 337, Rue Paradis – 13008 Marseilles
