The students in first year of the Master Fashion Management have presented their “creation / modeling work”

15/01/2016

On Friday, January 15th 2016, the students in first year of the Master Fashion Management have presented their “creation / modeling work” (which included a dress, a skirt and a sweater) in front of a panel of judges: Gilles Barbier, Alexandra Sebbag, Maryline Bellieud-Vigouroux, Roland Kazan, Julie Liger, Stephanie Boyer-Calvino, Ludivine Dupré, Alice Santiago.

Alexandra Sebbag is the teacher in charge of the project. Graduated from the Roger Guilbert Institute (Brussels), Alexandra Sebbag owns her own label: Arma Cutis, in which she designs scarves. In Brussels, she was teaching in La Cambre; now living in Marseille, she gives classes of fashion design and modeling to the students of the first year.

The micro collection that each student made was composed of two themes: The first theme was regarding Gilles Barbier’s retrospective which took place at La Friche Belle de Mai from August 2015 to January 2016. The second theme was chosen by the students themselves.

We were very pleased to welcome Gilles Barbier, who appreciated the transposition of his artwork into textile creation, among the panel of judges.
