Two majestic locations, the MuCEM and the Musée des Arts Décoratifs et de la Mode-Museum of Decorative Arts, Fashion and Ceramics, take us on a stylistic journey based on Yacine AOUADI's first collection « 13'015 », made up of 13 pieces paying homage to Marseilles. For his exhibition at the MuCEM the designer has selected 8 pieces from the collection which led him to be integrated into the Official Calendar of the Haute Couture.
At the Musée des Arts Décoratifs et de la Mode (ChâteauBorély), he has chosen five pieces from his collection which will be surrounded by pieces by other designers taken from the Museum's archives.
Accompanied by Christine Germain-Donnat, the curator of the Musée des Arts Décoratifs de la Mode, the aim is to create a dialogue between his collection and those of his masters, Christian Dior, Azzedine Alaia, Gabrielle Chanel and Paco Rabanne.
The two exhibitions are part of the #OPENMYMED event from 20 May to 29 August, which each year will celebrate in Marseilles the proliferation of Mediterranean creativity.
